The Queue

Once again it is Tuesday, and once again I definitely did not forget it was server maintenance and as such I am using a current screenshot I planned and took in advance before the servers went down, not an older one. Yes, this definitely reflects the current state of things in-game! Nothing at all to mark this as time-sensitive!

This is The Queue, where you ask us questions and we definitely don’t procrastinate on the answers.

Shriekwing? More like Death-wing, amirite? Wait…

My raid just got our first Mythic Shriekwing kill and it feels pretty great. We’ve spent maybe a little more time in lower difficulties getting gear than we necessarily needed, but now we’re getting some real progress! After Shriek we went and took a look at the Huntsman and his Dogs, and they wound up taking us for a walk. I think we’ll be able to get it with a bit more practice, but it was nice seeing that it wasn’t a gigantic step up in difficulty from Shriek. The funniest part to me is that both Mythic Shriekwing and Huntsman are supposedly easier than Heroic Denathrius. So we’ve started in on Mythic without putting the final nail in his coffin.

While I read up on some strategies for the next few bosses, it’s time for — The Queue.

It had to end. It had to end. I have too many screenshots of my various Warriors I wasn’t going to get to use for a Queue header because of that Chaddius. It had to end. I was getting the shakes from not showing off my latest shirtless transmog!

It had to end, and it has, the only way it could.

This is the Queue. Chaddius has left the building.

We are the Chaddius. You will be assimilated. You will be provided with a nice pool to relax at, and a pair of kickin’ sunglasses.

I have no idea what’s going on right now. But never let it be said I won’t go along with a joke, if only to see if Mitch decides to play along.

Is there a Steward in all of Bastion as amazing as Chaddius? I’m sure there are some that come close, but I can’t think of any with more personality just hanging out. It’s good that the Steward of the Day rotates otherwise I might just shower Chaddius with all of my extra purians.

While I go find more purians to give to Stewards, it’s time for — The Queue.

Parasols are the most stylish way to travel. I’d ask you to prove me wrong, but you can’t.

By most estimates, it’s been several years since the last Splatfest. By a calendar’s exactimates, it’s actually just been a little over two months. Whatever your sense of time, it’s, ahem, time for a new Splatfest. This one’s in honor of Mario’s 35th anniversary and pits one power-up against another, much stronger power-up. I will be fighting on the side of Team Superstar. I may even be wearing my IRL Splatfest tee for the occasion!

However, that will all have to wait for tomorrow. Right now, it’s Queue time.

It’s very important to find small good moments when life is dark. I don’t pretend to know what any particular reader of the site is going through, save that we’re all going through something. For me, it’s a lot of video games and a lot of just trying to keep moving. I hope you have something that gives you solace.
