The Queue: Ch-ch-changes
A lot of questions about the barbershop this week! I haven’t had a real haircut in years, but let’s dive right into virtual ones!
Take a seat right here — in the Queue.
The Queue: Time is on our side (or is it?)
Once again, I am unsure how it came to be Friday, or how I’ve managed to wait so late in the day to write the Queue.
Weird how time is continually slipping out of our fingers, isn’t it? Always moving further into the past, while we move further into the future.
I suppose that means there’s no more time to waste: let’s get to the Queue.
The Queue: Deja Nintendu
Music and Nintendo. That seems pretty “Mitch,” right?
Yeah.
Now, let’s Queue.
The Queue: Purgatorius
This is Purgatorius, a genus of eutherian mammal dating back around 66 million years. The type species was Purgatorius unio. This little animal was alive during the reign of the dinosaurs, and it may be related to — perhaps even ancestral to — modern primates. Even if it isn’t, it is likely extremely similar to our earliest primate ancestors. I bring this up for a reason, that will be apparent once I start answering questions.
This is the Queue.
The Queue: I’m willing to wait for it
I still haven’t seen Hamilton. I’m mad about it. Let’s Queue.
The Queue: Hamilton!
What a great show!
Watching Hamilton was definitely the highlight of my weekend even more so than getting to 9/12 mythic in Ny’alotha. I loved the soundtrack, but had given up on ever actually seeing the live production, so I’m very happy they added the filmed version to Disney+. The cast was amazing, the songs electric, the staging and choreography were fantastic, Phillipa Soo broke my heart with Burn like I knew she was going to, but there was one huge standout — Daveed Diggs. He was a joy to watch every time he was on screen. So much so that it almost felt like all of the other characters should be asking “Where is Thomas Jefferson/Lafayette” whenever he wasn’t around.
But enough about amazingly produced live theater. It’s time for — The Queue.
The Queue: I have this totally under control
This, like everything else in 2020, is going just fine.
The Queue: The gibbering of the void beckons to you
Just wanted y’all to feel comfortable.
This is the Queue. They sleep, but do not dream, and cannot die.
The Queue: To Evil!
Illidan Stormrage never stopped being evil.
He sacrificed other mages during the War of the Ancients. He willingly used the souls of others as fuel for a ritual when he was in Outland. He absolutely would have killed anyone if it had achieved his goals. He was and is an interesting character, and the fact that he was so utterly, ruthlessly pragmatic is part of why he’s interesting. Characters like Illidan make things happen.
It’s the Queue. Let’s chat.
The Queue: It’s too hot
I tend to intentionally consume content that revolves around being cold — or even just definitely not hot — during the summer months. I read a lot of gothic horror, and I play games that revolve around not freezing to death. Unsurprisingly, summer’s when I usually find time to grind Wintersaber rep and the like, too. Coincidence, I’m sure.
This is The Queue, where you ask us questions and we answer — after chugging some maple syrup, eh.
