The Queue: Sitting pretty
Welcome back to The Queue, our daily Q&A feature for all of Blizzard’s games! Have a question for the Blizzard Watch staff? Leave it in the comments!
When I saw Talanji’s mount take a seat, my first reaction was “Oh my gosh this is the cutest thing I’ve ever seen,” but it was quickly followed by, “Why don’t any of my raptor mounts do that?”
I do not have an answer. However, this has opened my eyes to a wild new world in which almost every mount could, in theory, take a seat and be pretty dang adorable while they do it. I think I really need this in my life — who’s with me?
The Queue: Yesterday was Thursday
I know I told you all that I’d be writing yesterday’s Queue — and that was the plan! I promise! — but I must tell you… that was not me. That was Jovan pretending to be Rossi pretending to be me. Don’t worry, though, I am the real me today.
Or, I guess worry if you hate me. Either way…
Let’s Queue.
The Queue: I am Mitch and this is the Queue
Hello, everyone. It is I, Mitch. You can tell I’m Mitch because I love the Horde. I’m certainly not someone else doing a remarkable impression of Mitch “Mitch” Mitchell. I am the most devoted shadowy priesty type who loves Old Gods, the Horde, and delicious pie.
What? Everyone likes at least one kind of pie. There’s lots of varieties of pie. I was bound to like at least one. Pie is like the truth. There are many different pies, and just because I like a nice blueberry pie it doesn’t make your love for pumpkin pie not equal. It’s all subjective. There can be as many pies as there are people who want to eat them.
Let me now ask your questions. Answer! Answer, yes. I do this all the time. Because I’m Mitch. I have not come from beyond to replace him.
The Queue: Liz isn’t here today
Rjagoda asked whether Liz was writing the Queue today, and I hate to break it to you, but she is not. Where is she? Let’s just say she’s indisposed at the moment.
And now that you have your answer, now let’s move on to the Queue.
The Queue: You can be my Sleeping Beauty. I’m gonna put you in a coma.
All right, let’s see if The Queue behaves this week. Let’s also see if I can’t finish this the night before it actually goes live. Frankly, I have to, because I’m not going to be at my PC for a couple hours before it goes live. Is anything important happening today? Who cares!
Let’s Queue.
The Queue: How do you like them apples?
Welcome back to The Queue, our daily Q&A feature for all of Blizzard’s games! Have a question for the Blizzard Watch staff? Leave it in the comments!
The little Thieving Snappers in the Zocalo are probably some of my favorite little bits of flavor in the game right now. There’s just something about a tiny dino triumphantly snatching an apple the size of its head, you know? Good job, little dude. Now let’s get to your questions!
The Queue: I wish WoW had Barbarians
Now, admittedly, Titan’s Grip Fury Warriors are close. But man, I really wish that when they’d designed World of Warcraft they’d made a Knight class that was all about shields and tanking or single weapon mastery and a Barbarian class that was all about going ape with a couple of gigantic weapons and just wrecking things. I absolutely love the way Fury works in Diablo 3, and it’s a mechanic I wish World of Warcraft had.
Also, I wish that your class selection changed your character model somewhat. Like, if you were a Paladin, you’d get the glow of the Holy Light or the Sun or whatever leaking from you, Warriors would get a little bit bigger than other classes, Rogues would be a little hard to see around the edges, etc etc.
Look, I can’t do every Queue with some weird conceit that it isn’t actually me writing it. Sometimes, y’all just have to accept I’m writing this Queue. If it makes you feel any better, I just killed Ordos and he didn’t drop my shoulders, so we’re all suffering.
The Queue: Watching Blizzard, and then some
We’ll talk some business, we’ll talk some WoW, we’ll Queue.
The Queue: When pigs (and gnomes) fly
We all have a dream, and my dream was to fly.
Or maybe just to answer questions. Who can keep track of these things?
The Queue: I could take the high road (but I know that I’m goin’ low)
Well if it isn’t Tuesday again. Time to finish writing a thing I started 12 hours ago!
Let’s Queue.
