There were so many killer announcements at BlizzCon 2019, from the long-awaited Diablo 4 and World of Warcraft's next expansion, Shadowlands.

It's a thorny path that WoW Classic was set up to walk -- trying to provide players with as faithful an experience as possible, a recreation of what vanilla World of Warcraft was like, while still making it an engaging enough game to hook players in 2020.

I’ve only had Bitey Mcstabface for a couple of days, but if anything ever happened to him I would destroy Azeroth. Look at that cute little face. That’s the kind of face that just makes you fall in love with something. Not to mention those teeth! Those are the kind of chompers that would make a beaver jealous! Forget about that giant sword just sticking out of the planet in Silithus — Bitey Mcstabface will gnaw through that in no time at all.

I am curious about the naming breakdown. There are four options there, did everyone choose Bitey McStabface for their Larva? Almost everyone that I’ve talked to so far has chosen that — but there are always outliers. I’m running a quick Twitter poll so vote for what name you chose, or would choose if you haven’t started the quest chain yet.

As victories go, it's definitely one of those wins that doesn't feel super victorious, but nonetheless what we were told at BlizzCon 2019 is now established in-game: the Kaldorei under Tyrande Whisperwind and her Army of the Black Moon have officially won the Battle for Darkshore.

While it's not necessarily something we're promised in any given expansion, Blizzard adding new zones to World of Warcraft in the middle of an expansion is something we've had since Mists of Pandaria.

Somebody having to step away from a recurring session of Dungeons and Dragons is something every party will have to contend with eventually.

So I was really looking forward to hitting up Ny’alotha, but a Mac bug in patch 8.3 means my client crashes pretty regularly while doing any group content. I went into Ny’alotha for 45 minutes on Tuesday and had one kernel panic and four client crashes. So, yeah, we aren’t playing Warcraft today. And maybe not tomorrow. Or the next day. Who knows!

Okay, let me stop feeling sorry for myself and we’ll get into answering some questions.

The way Corrupted Items are supposed to work, there's an intention that you'll always balance your Corruption against the benefit a specific item or trait will bring you, looking for ways to keep your Corruption low enough that you're not blowing up your raid while you also blow up the monsters.

Is it time to admit that WoW Classic, despite being very popular at its launch, can't really do what it set out to do?
