Know Your Lore: Welcome to the machine

What I really enjoyed about Welcome to the Machine is that for a moment it took you out of that role of adventuring hero, and put you in the NPC position. It was an amazing, wonderful, weird quest, and I still consider it one of the highlights of the Cataclysm expansion. As much as I love the quest, though, I didn't really want an entire expansion of it.

The Queue: Falling under Hearthstone’s spell

Hearthstone isn’t always (at least not for me) good fun… I’m not particularly good at it and never make it very far if I try to play competitively. Still, I enjoy tuning in to watch Matticus talk about it and, oddly, I had a lot of trouble turning away from this week’s not-quite-endless Hearthstone turn. There was just something about the soothing rhythm of the ongoing barrage of Arcane Missiles that was hard to look away from.

But now that that’s come to an end, we can get back to the business of answering Queue questions.

Breakfast Topic: What’s your favorite garrison building?

In the grand scheme of things, I hadn't really given a lot of thought to garrison planning -- I knew I wanted both a jewelcrafting and engineering building for my professions, I wanted an inn because it looked cool (and the quests sounded like fun), but beyond that, it was up in the air. The last building I ever thought I'd find myself inadvertently falling in love with, however, was the Salvage Yard.

The Queue: We are all alts

Welcome back to another edition of The Queue, @adamholisky will be your host.

So I just got one of those new Nintendo 3DS XLs. I paid $250 for it, which yes, is a markup. But you know what? It was totally worth it. Everything about it is just amazing; it fits nicely in an adult hands, and the screen is large enough that when I hold it up to my old man eyes it looks great.

I’m 31… and I’m an old man playing on his Gameboy.

BRB. Need to kill some internet dragons.
