Blizzard Watch Week in Review: So many cinematics

How many cinematics can you possibly cram into a single gaming convention? According to Blizzard, a lot. Here’s what happened at Gamescom — and everywhere else — over the past week.

All of the Blizzard cinematics we’ve seen this week

• This new cinematic by Terran Gregory welcomes you to Junkertown, Overwatch’s latest map.  (Terran also does a moving rendition of the theme song).
• A Saturday morning cartoon style cinematic introduced Kel’Thuzad to Heroes of the Storm… alongside a hero we’ve all been waiting for: Dreadlord Jaina. (And if you want to know more about Kel’Thuzad’s gameplay, enjoy this preview video.)
• We have an amazing new patch 7.3 trailer featuring Illidan being a jerk. No surprises there.
• Warning, this Overwatch cinematic may cause crying. (And related changes to the Ecopoint Antarctica may also cause crying.)
• Singing, dancing, glorious hair: this Hearthstone cinematic has everything.

When you’re done watching all of those, there’s plenty of other things to do

• BlizzCon may seem like a long way away, but you only have until the end of the month to register for contests. Get on it, people!
• Check out this week’s esports schedule for what to watch.
• Chromie dodgeball has arrived in Heroes of the Storm and, trust us, you want to play this new brawl.
• Don’t forget to turn in your Legionfall War Supplies before Tuesday if you want a Legionfall Recompense cache and chance at a legendary!
• The Patron of War title is back! You can grab it by watching the EU Arena Championship Finals on Twitch.
