The Queue: Battle.net client, Bud, Heroes, BlizzCon, and zones

Have you guys signed up for our weekly newsletter yet? We just launched our first edition today! You should go sign up right over here and get in on all the Blizzard News Fun (it’s capitalized like that because it’s super fun).

I’m actually looking forward to doing this quite a bit — it’s always something we wanted to do elsewhere but never got the chance to. We have so many news, guides, and opinion articles that things tend to get lost in the shuffle, so this is a great way to stay on top of what’s really happening in our community. We’re considering making some other things happen with it too, like setting up a short lore spot for one of our lore nerds to opine on, or putting some guild LFGs in it (in a very subtle way, of course).

Okay, enough talk, Queue time!

The Queue: Suspended

Welcome to the Queue, the daily Q&A column for all things Blizzard.

Earlier this week I was goofing around in Dragon Age: Inquisition and found a really neat set of ruins where everything was just … frozen in time. It was weird and kind of creepy. But it was also really visually striking, and I found myself thinking back to the Caverns of Time and how I’d like to see more stuff with it. It also made me wonder if bronze dragons have the capacity to simply halt time altogether — after all, we got a really cool sequence of time reversal in the Murozond encounter during Cataclysm. I’m sort of hoping we haven’t seen the last of the Infinite or the bronze dragonflight, because both concepts are just too interesting to pass up.

Also, I did in fact fix the whole frozen temple thing and everything promptly collapsed. I’m still a little sad about that one.

The Queue: We need more Rexxar

Welcome to the Queue, the daily Q&A column for all things Blizzard.

One of today’s questions reminded me that we really don’t have enough Rexxar right now. That’s a situation that should be fixed, because Rexxar is basically the best, even if he doesn’t have Misha on this version of Draenor. I’ll forgive that. But I still think we could use more of everyone’s favorite Mok’Nathal.

The Queue: My fever is writing The Queue today

I spent last night thinking about humans. We’re terrifying if you really stop and think about us. We can eat things that are toxic to most other species. We can survive broken bones, gunshot wounds, all manner of injuries that would incapacitate or even kill most other species on Earth. Humans used to hunt by simply walking after our prey until it fell down dead from exhaustion. Then we figured out how to make things get dead even more efficiently. Spears, spear-throwers, slings, bows… we’re a terrifying bunch.

The Queue: Battle shorts

I recruited the follower standing behind my character in the header image because she had the Treasure Hunter trait. She seemed out of place, given most followers are wearing some variety of battle armor. This follower, Iven Page, is wearing a t-shirt, suspenders, jean shorts, and nothing else. Not even shoes. She’s an affliction warlock. Are warlocks so OP they don’t even need armor anymore?

Also, I refuse to recognize the existence of April Fools’ Day. (Though we will have a wrap-up of all the April Fools’ goings-on at the end of the day.)

The Queue: Get rich with your garrison

Want to know how to make a boat load of money in Warlords? Just get your level 3 garrison on a handful of characters and run gold missions all the time. 1,000g/day per max character isn’t terribly hard to pull off. You just make a disgusting amount… so much so that I wonder if it’s going to be possible to buy your game time with that.

The Queue: No val’kyr here

I kind of wish there were more pet battle guides out there that didn’t automatically assume I’ve just got an Unborn Val’kyr sitting around to use for every battle, because I don’t. There’s a limit to how far out of my way I will go to do some pet battling, and camping the wilds of Northrend is over that line. I just want to beat the Celestial Tournament for once, you know? Just once would be neat.
