The Queue: A week of firsts

I didn’t exactly plan it this way, but in the past week, I’ve been to the movies, rock climbed, and started playing WoW again — all things I haven’t done in a very long time. It’s been nice, although still partially feels off. Also rock climbing absolutely destroyed what was barely left of my muscles. It’s gonna be a minute before I can climb how I used to.

Wizards of the Coast announced today that it has purchased digital toolset D&D Beyond, inspiring many people to DM me and ask "didn't they already own this?" And heck, it's not like they weren't aware that people thought this, because D&D Beyond's own announcement says the site is "formally joining Wizards of the Coast" rather than framing it as a surprise acquisition: Dungeons & Dragons and D&D Beyond have always felt like a part of the same family.

The Queue: It’s 2020 forever

Sorry, kids. Looks like time broke in 2020. We’re stuck in Groundhog Day: The Groundhog Year, forever repeating the same pandemic, the same chaos, the same crisis after crisis after crisis. The events change, but the song remains the same as we repeat 2020 forever. Heck, they’re even calling it 2022, as in 2020 2 — it’s a sequel no one asked for.

It’s the Queue. It’s 2020 2: Less Than Electric Boogaloo. Let’s do.
