Look, this isn’t the first time I’ve written The Queue on the 4th of July, and it may not be the last. If you keep letting me make this stupid joke, I’m going to keep making this stupid joke. Anyhow, I hope all you ‘Meruhcans are enjoying your day.

You know what goes well with fireworks and beer? The Queue.

Let’s do this.

Every week I have the grand plan to finish the Queue in the evening and go to bed at a reasonable hour, and every Queue I fail.

I’m either typing this on my laptop while sipping a daquiri with my toes dipped lazily into a pool, or hunkered down in my air-conditioned office with the lights off, hoping my feral children don’t notice me. You can decide which you’d rather believe but I’d just ask that you not make sudden movements and try to stay quiet.

Not too quiet, though — ask whatever questions you want for some answers tomorrow!

For anyone that might have questioned whether or not I was serious in last week’s Queue, oh yes. Yes I was completely serious. I have so many shirts you guys. And all of them are now happily on display on my characters, exactly where they should be.

I mean yes I love the new zones and quests and cool stuff but…shirts, you guys. Embrace the shirts.

The only way I could be happier with transmog in WoW right now is if they let me mog Fist Weapons over 2h Weapons.

Every so often, there is a massive overlap of content that interests me. This is one of those times. Between patch 8.2, Shadowbringers for FFXIV, Summer Games Done Quick, Mario Maker 2, IRL interests, and work… hoo boy. I need more time in the day, y’all.

Anyhow… let’s Queue.

I don’t recall surfing being this cold, but Azeroth is a strange place sometimes.

This is the Queue, which on patch day is really just the waiting room for the new content switch to get flipped. That’s fine, I know y’all are just excited to go in new water zones. Water zones are always the best, especially when they’re infested with sentient, magic-using, telepathic fish people.

Did something just touch your leg too? I’m sure it was nothing.

Just a day left until we’ll be wandering the watery wastelands of Nazjatar and poking around the gnomish paradise of Mechagon — are you ready? Honestly, I’m not sure what to do first — the war campaign, hitting up Nazjatar, delving into Mechagon, or just wildly playing with restriction-free transmog for the first couple of hours.

Let’s face it, it’s probably gonna be that last one, which conveniently enough leads into our first question of the day. Let’s get to it!
